Nitish Kochhi Bhat is a skilled software professional with 8.44 years of relevant experience in backend development, distributed systems, and cloud computing. He is currently working as a Computer Scientist II (SDE 4) at Adobe, where he is a part of the Cloud Technology team in the Business platform stack. Nitish is proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Cassandra, and Mongo. Before joining Adobe, Nitish worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Tekion, where he handled some of the core microservices like auditing and ratelimiting. He also maintained the DynamoDB wrapper library used by services across the organization to support multi-tenant architecture. Nitish implemented several features in several other services like notification, reporting, and worked on several Proof of Concepts like reducing the number of database connection pools for MySQL and data migration from DynamoDB to MongoDB. Nitish has also worked as a Software Engineer at Veritas, where he worked on a containerized, plugin-based software to support backup and recovery for public cloud resources. He designed and implemented the licensing module for the product and developed workflows for taking backups and granular level restore for host VMs. Nitish also developed a plugin for discovery, snapshot, and restore of RDS and SQL database as a service. He scaled the backend deployed on Azure cloud using Azure Kubernetes Service(AKS). Nitish holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer and Information Sciences, General from R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore. He is proficient in various technologies like Python, JavaScript, Web, Kubernetes, AWS, Spark, Redis, NoSQL, and Hadoop. Nitish is a research scientist and has a strong interest in big data and infrastructure.
